Eco Athens at MITT 2016

MITT (Moscow International Travel Tourism Exhibition) is the most essential travel trade expo in Russia. Over 10,000 people visited the expo in 2016.

We were proud to participate with other Greek companies in the Greece Pavilion. The theme this year was “Cross-Year Greece and Russia”. Greece’s South Aegean region was a new exhibitor at MITT. In 2015, approximately 500,000 Russian tourists visited the South Aegean islands, primarily Rhodes, Kos, Mykonos and Santorini.

One of the most important events which happened at MITT was the Greek-Russian Forum with an inspiring speech by Greece’s Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura.

We believe 2016 will bring the two countries close to each other and more Russian tourists will enjoy Greek sun, sea, food, nature and “Philoxenia” ( Greek hospitality).
